Information for Students
We have a few special activities lined up for students at the MASCOTS 2017 conference.
- Student Dinner: On the arrival day of Tuesday, September 19, we have an optional dinner outing at 6:30pm for all student attendees. If you want to meet some other students before the conference starts, then this is your opportunity to do so. The outing will be at High Rollers, which features bowling, pizza, and wings. The conference organizers will cover your costs for food and bowling, but if you want to sample any of the 48 craft beers on tap, that will have to be at your own expense! We have room for up to 20 people. Please check in at the conference registration desk on Tuesday afternoon to sign up. First come, first serve!
- Geocaching Contest: Geocaching is a popular activity that allows you to hike and explore the area, while using GPS on your smartphone to find hidden "treasure" items at selected locations. We are in the process of setting up a geocaching treasure hunt for students, with a deadline on Friday morning. Small prizes for first, fastest, or funniest photos from the geocaching contest.
Information about student travel grants could go here too. But I don't think we have any to offer. :-(
